KIPOR HOME STANDBY GENERATORS AUTO STARTING SYSTEMS (ATS)

Peak Generators are UK distributors of the KIPOR range of generators. The company is able to offer an auto start system for certain KIPOR STANDBY generators. These are industrial / home standby generators.

This highly effective system has the capability to transfer automatically upon sensing that utility power has been interrupted, transferring responsibility to the generator.

How it works

Under normal circumstances when mains power is available, National Grid power Supply runs through the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) panel and connects to your Distribution board. Your existing electrical system is not compromised in any way by integrating a KIPOR ATS in the circuit. A battery charger installed in the ATS panel powered by the mains supply keeps the starting battery in the KIPOR generator fully charged. When mains power fails the ATS will pause for a set period (determined at set up by the engineer) to ensure you haven’t had a power spike. ATS will then initiate Generator start sequence and connect the KIPOR standby generator power supply to your home or business premises.

The transfer panel control senses this and will then transfer generator set power to the home or office, through the transfer panel contacts. This sequence of operations will take approximately 20 seconds from the time the power outage occurred to the time when KIPOR stanby generator power is connected.
Upon mains power being restored the reverse happens and the controls automatically switch from KIPOR generator power back to mains shutting down the KIPOR generator and restoring it to standby mode.
